Logistics

When vehicles and business trips live in different tools

Fifteen vans with hundreds of spare parts on board, and nobody knew what was on which. Five programs to request reimbursement for a business trip. They are two of the projects we have done in logistics, and they have the same shape: data scattered across tools that do not talk to each other.

Projects in this sector

What software does logistics need for fleets and travel?

Software that holds together what today lives in tools that do not talk to each other: the vehicles and what they carry, business trips and reimbursements, data gathered by people off-site. For an operator with fifteen vans we put a tag on every spare part; for a company with 1,200 employees five reimbursement programs sit behind a single app.

Recurring problems in this sector

  1. Knowing what is on board each vehicle before it leaves
  2. A reimbursement that goes through five programs before it becomes a payment
  3. Data that arrives from the phone of whoever is off-site
How we work here

After a first call, we come to your site to see where data gets lost between the vehicles, the people off-site and the office.

Frequently asked questions

How do you know what is on board a vehicle?
With a UHF tag on every spare part and a reader fixed on the vehicle. Head office sees the inventory of every van in real time, and if a part is missing the operator knows before leaving.
Can different tools be unified without replacing them?
Yes, by leaving them where they are, with their suppliers and their contracts: on top goes an API layer, and whoever uses the app does not know which program is answering.
How does data come in from people off-site?
From the phone. In the business-trip app the request starts there, the approval arrives there, and attachments and messages sit together with the request.
