Which certifications does dotenv hold?
dotenv is ISO 9001:2015 certified, audited by the body Dasa-Räegister. The standard does not certify that the software is good: it certifies that a written method exists, that it is followed, and that an external body verifies it every year. dotenv also holds ISO 27001, on information security.
For dotenv, certifications are fundamental to guaranteeing the quality of our business processes and of the way we work; that is why we believe strongly in this path, because it attests to the quality of our business processes and of our working methods, for the benefit of transparency and fairness towards our clients. Since 2021 we have proudly held the ISO 9001:2015 certification. It is a path we are pursuing with the valuable advice of Gruppo Ingegneria, and, for the audit and certification phase, with the certification and training body Dasa-Räegister.
Thanks to ISO 9001, all of dotenv’s procedures, summarised in the Quality Policy, guarantee a working method applied without distinction to all clients, with an efficient and effective supply chain.
ISO: what does it mean?
ISO is the acronym of International Organization for Standardization: the organisation, founded in London in 1947, is today a body recognised worldwide for identifying the best ways of providing a service or a product. ISO defines technical norms and quality standards that are the same for operators in the same sector all over the world.
The standards defined by ISO 9001 are based on specific parameters developed into guidelines of a voluntary nature, procedures and essential requirements through which a service or a product then has to be produced and delivered.
dotenv can therefore guarantee that it has a management system compliant with the Quality Management System, which involves every aspect of the company, from employees to suppliers, from the procedures for software development to customer support.
The value of ISO 9001: why it is important to get certified
The parameters for establishing the management system are linked to general requirements that can be implemented by any organisation on a voluntary basis, whatever sector it operates in, so as to optimise its own structure continuously.
The guidelines provided define the standards; it is then up to the company to understand what to improve along the way, to the point of automating certain procedures and at the same time improving its internal structure.
The concept of a Quality Management System, which identifies policies, processes, documented procedures and records, defines the way the company creates and provides a service or a product for its clients. Quality concerns the efficiency of the company, the way it positions itself with respect to the market and the guarantee that it meets the requirements relating to factors internal and external to the business, as well as the achievement of results through actions aimed at process efficiency.
Once ISO certification has been obtained, it is essential to be able to keep it by passing verification audits year after year. In July 2023 dotenv was, as mentioned earlier, examined again and had its certification confirmed for the third year: a result we are proud of, because it is the outcome of a year of constant, organised work based on specific quality standards.
Working in the knowledge that we can always do better for our clients, studying solutions every day for the development of our projects, with a supply chain that guarantees data security through prompt support, is a source of great satisfaction for us, both as a company and as a working group.
Frequently asked questions
What does ISO 9001 guarantee to a customer?
That the way of working is written down and the same for every customer, that non-conformities are recorded and closed with an action, and that an external body checks every year that this is true.
Is dotenv ISO 27001 certified?
Yes. ISO 27001 concerns the management of information security. Where specific security requirements are needed beyond the standard (health data, process formulas, industrial property) they are agreed by contract and written into the project.
Who issued the certificate?
Dasa-Räegister, accredited by ACCREDIA, after the audit. Gruppo Ingegneria worked with us on the preparation.
